Safety and Accreditation

AirLink takes pride in its immaculate safety record and its long-term affiliation with the following organizations.

CAMTS

The Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS) is dedicated to improving the quality of patient care and safety of the transport environment for services providing rotor wing, fixed-wing and ground transport systems. AirLink received its official accreditation (operating as Air Life) in July, 2001, and was the first agency in the state to complete this rigorous process. Furthermore, we fully meet all CAMTS accreditation standards, including all issues pertaining to stringent safety measures, ethical business practices, compliance with laws and regulations, public education efforts and far more.

NWAAR

AirLink is a member of the North West Association of Aeromedical Responders (NWAAR), an air medical trade association comprised of members from Oregon, Washington and Idaho. NWAAR members include state-licensed Oregon, Washington and Idaho air ambulance services (fixed and rotor wing), public entities and individuals representing organizations having an interest in, or providing for, the air medical transportation of critically ill or injured patients.

AAMS

AirLink also is a member of the Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS), an international association which serves providers of air and surface medical transport systems. This voluntary, non-profit organization encourages and supports its members in maintaining a standard of performance reflecting safe operations and efficient, high quality patient care.

OSAA

AirLink also belongs to the Oregon State Ambulance Association (OSAA), which oversees standards for the licensing and operation of ambulance services and conducts inspections of facilities to ensure standards are being met. They also work closely in approving medical direction of emergency and non-emergency care rendered by certified personnel.
